China Looking for Innovative Ways to Reduce Air Pollution

Beijing has some of the worst air quality in the world and in preparation for hosting the Olympics in the summer of 2008, must make significant changes in order to accommodate the athletes and visitors.
For two weeks in August, one million of the city’s three million cars will be removed from the roads in an attempt to reduce the negative impact that car emissions are having on the city’s air.
Beijing is also one of the 100 + Chinese cities that will be participating in World Carfree Day on September 22.
